Mardi Gras & Exlink Birthday Treat
Last July 6, 2012, JPIA-DLSU conducted its General Assembly with the theme "Mardi Gras". This General Assembly aims to welcome the frosh Accountancy students of DLSU. What's really special with this GA is that each committee is tasked to prepare a game booth. It is similar with the concept of "Perya". The attendees are given stubs with boxes drawn in it. They have to visit booths, play and then receive stamps as proof of joining the game. The stamped stubs are proof of attendance and of course, as a proof to gain incentive from Accounting professors.
We spray-painted our hair with temporary hair color. The next few pictures were taken while we were setting the booth up. (PS the violet hair spray can't be seen huhu)
Exlink's booth is Premyo sa Harina! I think you know how this goes.
You don't wanna know what my committee-mates did to me after we closed our booth. The horror of removing harina on your face, hair, clothes, bag. HUHU.
After the long harina cleaning session, we went to Yellowcab to eat! It's my post-birthday treat for ExLink since my 20th birthday was my last college birthday. Who knows, this might be the last time that I could gather everyone in my committee for my birthday. But of course, I'd love to see all of them on my 21st birthday!

Too Young for 20
The only reason why I love birthdays is because I have candle-blowing rights. You can't imagine how awkward I feel whenever someone sings a happy birthday song to me.
I look young, don't I? If you see me in person or in pictures, you'd doubt I'm twenty. Most people mistake me as a high-schooler when in fact I only have less than a year to college graduation. Not just with looks, but my mental self is comparable to a high-schooler as well.
Throughout my college years, I've been avoiding the concept of maturity and career. I have this weird fear of independence and freedom. I feel like my "rooms for mistakes" get extinct as I grow older. It's really unhealthy to think this way because I'd soon be forced to swallow these things up. And if you ask me, twenty is just a number. I feel like I wanna be a teenager forever.
Despite the negative thoughts in my mind about getting old, I think I'd say I am thankful for having lived this long. When I was 19, I recognized the things that I value the most in life. I was also able to set my goals for the next 10 years of my life. I have even envisioned what I'll be doing in the next years of my life. When I was 19, I knew what I want in life.
Before I continue to bore you with the things I've learned about life, let me share you the simple birthday lunch and dinner I had with my friends in Taft.

Caramel cake from Becky's Kitchen
120-piece sushi and maki bilao
I also had graham cakes, 24pcs chicken wings from Flaming Wings and Carbonara
Fefy and Tin
My Love & Sale partner, Bea ♥
Had dinner with Yanyan
JT and JM came over dinner
Josh visited even if he was so sick
Those after-crying eyes
I got to make around 20 people eat today for dinner and lunch. 20 people in Taft for my 20th.
I wonder who will still be with me on my 21st.

Frosh Welcoming 2012
Might as well document even this course-irrelevant event in DLSU. After all, it's probably the last time I'd ever experience a frosh welcoming concert. :)

To my ultimate college BFF
To the girl who hates my favorite food, pizza
To the girl who has the most consistent handwriting
To the girl who always goes invisible on facebook chat
To the girl who secretly loves yellow
To the girl who listens to my non-sense crush kilig stories
To the girl who loves Jollibee's chicken joy
To the girl who always spends less even if she doesnt have to
To the girl who pouts when she smiles
To the girl who understands people more than I do
To the girl who does not judge
And to the girl who made my college life really fun
THANK YOU.
I only have a year to spend my undergrad life and I'd sure cherish every moment I'm with you. I will always wish for your happiness. ♥

Le Bar Sofitel
A panorama of Sofitel Manila's pool area
Aside from being everyone's favorite social networking site apart from Facebook, Twitter can actually give you an opportunity to savor a "Magnifique" experience. I was lucky enough to win a Le Bar buffet for two from one of Sofitel's raffle contests on Twitter. I thought all my life that I'm a jinx on raffles. Who knew I'd win something like this?

Last May 18, 2012, I decided to finally claim my gift certificate together with my mom and my brother. We agreed to use it the same day as a late Mother's day celebration. It was still an hour early before the buffet opens and so we decided to spend time on the pool area. The view of the sea and sunset is spectacular. There were big umbrellas, beach chairs and a restaurant where you can buy delectable treats while enjoying the view. I got to try their ice cream sundae and it sure was delicious! I was tempted to try other food in the menu but I convinced myself not to because I will soon enter a buffet.
I perfectly know how awkward I take photos of food so I decided to take a video on the whole experience instead. I really am so sorry for the quality of the video.
Le Bar buffet is the temporary buffet while Spiral is under renovation. The place is unusually dim-lighted compared to other buffets in the Metro. The food selection is relatively smaller than Spiral's but the quality and taste is indifferent with that of Spiral's.
Among all of the food served, I particularly loved their Foie Gras (Goose' liver), Baby Back Ribs, Peking Duck, Raw Salmon and US Prime Ribs.
As for desserts, I love everything. Kidding! I love their DIY crepe, Cheesecakes and Ice cream. My mom loves the Crepe and Halo-halo. As for my brother, he got a plate full of fresh fruits. After the buffet, I went over Galette and bought a piece of every flavor of their Macaroons (which I ate for breakfast the following morning).
The experience is really extraordinary. Le Bar's buffet won't cost you as much as Spiral but the service and the quality is really magnificent. I saw initiative on their chefs and their staff. Even before you start asking for something, they have quite provided it for you already. They are all very attentive and friendly.
If asked if I'd be willing to go back? NO DOUBT.
Thank you, Sofitel!
